Gale force winds predicted in Kamchatka due to cyclone

Forecasters predicted a significant deterioration in weather conditions in the Kamchatka Territory with the onset of the Okhotsk Sea cyclone. The wind will increase to 30 m/s.

According to forecasts, adverse conditions are expected on October 9 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yelizovsky, Ust-Bolsheretsky districts, as well as in the south of the Milkovsky district. This is reported by the KamchatkaMedia news agency. On October 10, precipitation will fall in Ust-Kamchatsky, Aleutian, Milkovsky districts, Karaginsky, Olyutorsky districts.

Rescuers recommend that locals and tourists refrain from traveling between settlements and hiking. When the wind increases, it is recommended to take shelter in porches and sturdy buildings.

On October 1, a special fire protection regime was lifted in the Lipetsk region due to the onset of autumn weather. The rains have significantly reduced the likelihood of fires.
