Moskvich car sales decreased by 37% in September
In September 2025, 1.2 thousand new Moskvich cars were sold in Russia. This is 37% less than in the same month last year, the analytical agency Autostat reported on October 7.
The majority of sales came from the Moskvich 3 crossover (83% share). Immediately, 27.5% of the domestic brand cars sold in early autumn were registered to legal entities.
In just nine months of this year, 11.2 thousand new Moskvich cars were sold in Russia. This is 24% less than in January—September 2024.
Earlier that day, it was reported that certification of the new Moskvich M90 crossover had begun in Russia. It is claimed that it will be produced in cooperation with the Chinese concern SAIC, based on the MG RX9 model. All previous models of the revived brand are based on JAC cars.
Before that, on October 3, it became known that the Moskvich automobile plant had raised prices for the Moskvich 3 crossover, and the increase in prices affected cars manufactured in 2025.
