Fox News channel, citing an FBI document, reported on October 6 that Smith and his Arctic Frost team, investigating the riots, monitored phone calls. FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino emphasized that "this era is over" and under their leadership, the FBI will not be used as a weapon against the American people.
