Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces evacuated a captured armored vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Zaporozhye region

In the Yuzhnodonets direction of the special military operation (SVO), soldiers of the Vostok group of forces evacuated a captured Ukrainian British-made Husky armored car that hit a mine near the village of Novoivanovka, Zaporizhia region. This was announced on October 7 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The area around the car was additionally mined by the enemy, however, the engineering unit provided safe passage for the repair and evacuation group.

"It (the armored car — Ed.) was located along the forest belt. It was visible from an untested road. We drove up and examined it. They thought it was American. It turned out to be British," says the commander of the evacuation group, call sign "Kobold".

The armored car was towed to the rear. According to the fighters, there were small arms, ammunition and Western-style communication equipment inside.

The captured armored car will be handed over to specialists for detailed study, and later sent for placement at exhibitions and in museums of the SVR.

On October 6, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that in the Zaporozhye region, calculations of FPV drones of the Guards 58th Combined Arms Army as part of the Dnepr group of forces discovered and destroyed a camouflaged tank of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The operators operated in a combination of "scout plus strike vehicle": reconnaissance on light drones identified the target, then the strike vehicles delivered targeted fire.
