The apple picking season has begun in the gardens of Krasnodar

In Kuban, an active apple harvest has begun in horticultural farms near the Yeisk highway. The work is underway as planned, Krasnodar Mayor Yevgeny Naumov said in his Telegram on Monday, October 6.

More than 245 tons of stone fruits and 2,180 tons of seed crops have already been harvested in the municipality. At the same time, harvesting of soybeans, corn, and sunflowers continues.

At the same time, the harvesting of feed for livestock farms is fully completed, writes KrasnodarMedia news agency. Farmers have started sowing winter crops: more than 10 thousand hectares have been allocated for wheat, and another 800 hectares for barley.

Earlier in October, Izvestia reported that the harvest figures in Russia would exceed last year's result. The Ministry of Agriculture predicts the harvest of 135 million tons of grain, including about 90 million tons of wheat. High-tech technologies have helped farmers to increase their efficiency.
