Air defense systems destroyed 19 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the sky over the territory of the Belgorod region. This was announced on October 5 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"From 12:00 to 15:00 Moscow time, 19 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region by air defense systems on duty," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

On the same day, the Ministry of Defense announced that 32 UAVs had been destroyed over the regions of the Russian Federation during the night from October 4 to October 5. The ministry added that 11 drones were destroyed over the territories of the Belgorod and Voronezh regions, and five more over the Nizhny Novgorod region. In addition, one drone was shot down over the Bryansk, Kursk, Tula and Tambov regions and the Republic of Mordovia.
