The State Duma proposed to provide teachers with office housing
The initiative, which involves providing teachers with office housing with the further possibility of privatization, was sent to Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation. The corresponding appeal was sent on October 5 by the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy Yaroslav Nilov.
"It seems logical to introduce a state support program aimed at providing office housing with the possibility of further privatization after 10-15 years of work at the school," RIA Novosti news agency reports.
The appeal states that the main conditions for obtaining free living space could be: the absence of their own housing, the presence of completed higher specialized education, as well as full-time work in an educational institution.
Nilov also added that proposals for housing for experienced teachers with 25 years or more of work experience deserve special attention.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin recorded a congratulatory video message to teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day.
According to Putin, teachers are doing everything to ensure that students acquire the knowledge necessary in the modern world and a solid foundation of values. This will help the children to feel confident in adulthood, to achieve successes that will determine their own fate and the fate of Russia.
