Svet exercises: Putin awarded mentors of HIS heroes
Russia's strength lies in its distinctive and sovereign education system, as the country's opponents have also noted. This was stated by Vladimir Putin on October 3 at the ceremony of awarding state awards to mentors and teachers of the participants of the SVO. On the same day, the president opened a new world-class concert center at Sirius with unique acoustics, where literally the entire structure serves to create the perfect sound. The Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Valery Gergiev, performed in front of the head of state and other guests. What an unusual instrument Vladimir Putin heard and what else impressed the head of state with the architect of the center is in the Izvestia article.
Who received state awards
After a voluminous speech at the Valdai in Sochi, which was reported by almost all the world's media, Vladimir Putin stayed on the Black Sea coast for another day. On October 3, he continued to work in the federal territory of Sirius, where they celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the educational center. The program is again extensive. However, the first thing the head of state will do is meet with the mentors and teachers of the participants of the SVO to present them with state awards.
— You and your colleagues continue the great traditions of Russian pedagogy. Without any exaggeration, you preserve the civilizational uniqueness of our country, its sovereignty, and its strong position in a complex, rapidly changing world. Congratulations to all teachers in Russia on the upcoming professional holiday — Teacher's Day. And you, dear friends, with honorary awards," the President said.
He noted that it was teachers who were sincerely devoted to their work, who led Russia forward in all historical epochs. Svetlana Stepanova, a teacher of Gymnasium No. 53 from the Penza region, and Tatiana Timkina, a veteran of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans of War, Labor, the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies in the Omsk region, were awarded the badge of honor "For Mentoring". Oleg Plesovskikh, a teacher of the Ilyinsky Secondary School in the Tyumen Region, received the Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree from the head of state. Vyacheslav Ivanov, director of the Bastion Sports School from Vladivostok, was awarded the honorary title "Honored Worker of Physical Culture of the Russian Federation". Svetlana Magera, a teacher at L.I. Malyakov School No. 24 from the Pskov Region, and Zoya Nikitina, a teacher at Leningrad School No. 9, became Honored Teachers of Russia.
— I feel a great sense of gratitude for this high award, for the fact that the Motherland appreciated my work so much. First of all, this award is the award of my students, among whom is the hero of Russia Zhumabai Raizov. His memory will remain forever in our hearts. Viktor Kvasov, a three—time recipient of the Order of Courage, is among my students," Oleg Plesovskikh told Izvestia.
According to the president, Russia's strength lies in its distinctive, sovereign education system.
—And you and I know very well that back during the Great Patriotic War, our enemy also remembered this back then — with regret — and said that the victory was won by our teachers, well, one might say, by spiritual education," the president said, stressing that the heroes of the Russian Federation are able to cope with the civil war. assigned tasks.
What is the uniqueness of the new Sirius Concert Hall?
The official opening of the new world—class concert center "Sirius" with unique acoustics became the central and long-awaited event on this day for local residents. Work has been underway since 2020. From the outside, the building looks quite impressive and futuristic — it is angular and looks like a young mountain range, especially noticeable against the background of the Caucasian peaks. The total area of the building is 48,942 m, and the height is 11 floors.
— The fact is that mountains are not drawn, there are no straight lines in nature. But then there wouldn't be this acoustics, then there wouldn't be a lot of things. And the most important thing is that this silhouette of the concert hall would not fit into the angular mountains. And this was just one of the thoughts of a wonderful architect," Russian conductor Sergei Roldugin told Izvestia.
Andrey Litvinov, the chief architect of the Sirius Concert Center, admittedly impressed the president greatly, not only with his talent, but also with his magnificent head of hair.
"Despite the fact that you're so shaggy, you look so good, you're doing great, you're just a very talented person," Putin said.
If we talk about the uniqueness of acoustics, then the authorship of the project belongs to an international team led by engineer Yasuhiso Toyota, who has developed projects for the world's leading concert venues, including halls in Hamburg, Los Angeles, St. Petersburg, Helsinki. An important feature of the concert center is its versatility, which makes it possible to turn the opera and ballet theater into a philharmonic hall in just 20 minutes.
Finishing materials are also partly responsible for creating the perfect acoustics. The sound quality largely depends on them — in particular, a large number of sound-scattering surfaces are required. Therefore, the walls of the halls are embossed, decorated with gypsum and solid wood panels. The ceilings are made of wooden acoustic slatted panels. The main hall is equipped with a movable orchestra shell, designed specifically for the Sirius Concert Center. Thanks to this engineering design, the sound of symphonic music will be as rich and pure as possible.
— If you build any building, big or small, without acoustics, it will just be a building big or small. A Stradivarius violin weighs around a kilogram and a half, but is valued at millions of dollars. For what? For acoustics. A concert hall is the same musical instrument," explained Sergey Roldugin.
Next in the program is the opportunity to take a "first sample" of the acoustic capabilities of the main hall. On this day, there was a concert dedicated to Teacher's Day. The audience includes not only Sirius teachers, but also invited guests, including Vladimir Putin. Together with the Russian leader, the teachers who brought up the heroes of the special military operation, who were awarded state awards by the president earlier, were also present in the hall. The Mariinsky Orchestra was conducted by Valery Gergiev, People's Artist of Russia. The Piano Concerto No. 1 by Franz Liszt was performed. The soloist was Mikhail Pirozhenko, a laureate of international competitions, winner of the Grand Prix of the VII All-Russian Competition of Young Musicians "Constellation".
The second concert was performed by soloist, laureate of international competitions Andrey Taranukha. He played an unusual musical instrument, the marimba, which is a relative of the xylophone. The President thanked all Russian architects, engineers, builders, as well as foreign specialists who "created a true masterpiece, a real palace of world art." The Head of State also congratulated everyone present on the anniversary of Sirius and wished them to "confidently and courageously move forward towards new horizons and new discoveries."
