Alexander Radulov, a hockey player at the Lokomotiv hockey club (Yaroslavl), was suspended for 20 minutes for unsportsmanlike conduct in a match with Avangard (Omsk). The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) championship meeting was held on October 3 in Omsk.

According to Sport-Express, the 39-year-old forward was sent off 30 seconds before the end of the second period with the score 3-1 in favor of the Omsk team. However, Radulov did not immediately go to the podium, but first reacted emotionally to the removal by addressing someone on the ice and pointing his finger at this person several times. Subsequently, Avangard won 4-1.

After this meeting, Avangard leads the KHL Eastern Conference standings, scoring 18 points in 11 matches. Lokomotiv leads the Western Conference table with 18 points after 12 games.

In the next match, Avangard will host Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg on October 6, while Lokomotiv will play SKA St. Petersburg at home.
