Among the professions for part-time work, packers and computer technicians have become leaders in the dynamics of offers: the number of shifts for them has more than doubled compared to last year, analysts said. Against this background, the remuneration offered has also become significantly higher — it has reached 80-140 thousand rubles per month for part-time employment. The growing demand for these specialists is associated, in particular, with staff turnover and a shortage of professional workers, experts interviewed by Izvestia believe. Who else is being sought for a part—time job and what kind of remuneration is being offered - in our material.

In which specialties has the number of vacancies increased

Employers have become more likely to post part-time jobs for packers and computer craftsmen, analysts at the Avito Part-time Job service told Izvestia. The number of shifts for these specialists has more than doubled compared to 2024. Also, according to analysts, the demand for warehouse staff and baristas has increased.

"The number of shifts for warehouse staff increased by 93% compared to 2024, and for baristas it also almost doubled," the authors of the study noted.

On average, the number of offers in Russia has increased almost one and a half times, said Sergey Yaskin, director of the service.

According to two more job search services, SuperJob and hh.ru Employers are also actively interested in couriers, teachers, and drivers.

— The increase in the number of vacancies in the country confirms that part-time work is becoming an increasingly popular tool for business customers, — Sergey Yaskin emphasized.

According to the expert, this format helps to quickly meet staffing needs and quickly respond to market changes.

"The largest increase in the number of employers who are looking for part—time employees was recorded in the Far Eastern, North Caucasus and North-Western Federal Districts," he added.

According to the data hh.ru The leading regions in terms of demand for part-time workers over the past month were Moscow (more than 11 thousand vacancies), the Moscow region (5.8 thousand) and St. Petersburg (5.5 thousand).

The average proposed remuneration for packers in 2025 is 78.1 thousand rubles per month, for computer masters — 140 thousand rubles per month for part-time employment. For warehouse employees — 99.5 thousand rubles per month, and for part—time baristas - 58.5 thousand rubles per month, Avito Part-time analysts said.

—For packers, wages increased by 29%, computer technicians — by 59%, warehouse staff — by 35% and baristas — by 54%," they stressed.

An increase in the average remuneration offered for part—time work was also recorded in retail and wholesale trade — by 52% year-on-year, in telecommunications and communications - by 40%, and in architecture and design — by 35%. Currently, retail and wholesale trade specialists can count on 69.2 thousand rubles per month, telecommunications and communications — 51.9 thousand rubles per month, architecture and design — 83 thousand rubles per month.

And the highest salary offered, according to hh.ru , for drivers: it amounts to almost 190 thousand rubles.

The actual income of computer technicians depends on the number of orders, the complexity of the malfunctions, the level of qualifications and additional services they offer to customers, and may differ from the average level.

Warehouse workers depend on the schedule, the number of shifts worked and the nature of the actions performed, for example, working with bulky or fragile goods, the authors of the study believe. And the income of a barista depends on the level of experience, qualifications, skills in making coffee, the type of establishment and its location.

Why did part-time work spread?

The demand for pickers, packers and packers is growing primarily among employers in the retail and e-commerce sectors and is directly related to the development of online commerce and delivery, the director believes hh.ru according to the research of Maria Ignatova.

Most of the time, part-time jobs do not require special qualifications, which makes them more accessible, Olesya Bormotova, HR director of the Newstaff multiservice company, told Izvestia.

— For an employer, this is an easy way to staff without long—term obligations, - she noted. — This is beneficial for him, as many of the vacancies are seasonal. If a person works as a part-time worker, this allows them to manage their workload and avoid spending money on wages during a downturn.

The exception, the expert added, is computer wizards, but their services are not required regularly, so some employers avoid including them in the staff.

Also, according to Olesya Bormotova, the increase in the number of vacancies is due to a shortage of professional workers and staff turnover.

The growing demand for computer craftsmen is associated with the departure of authorized service centers of leading global brands from Russia and an increase in sales and purchases of used devices, said Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group.

According to him, the quality of used devices is often not perfect, so the increased demand for them has made Russian computer masters more in demand.

Maria Ignatova stressed that now, with the volatility of the labor market, the impact of demand on wages is ambiguous.

— For example, for highly demanded couriers in large cities, an increase in demand can directly affect income levels. At the same time, computer masters can earn very differently and there is a significant variation in salaries, which primarily depends on the region. For example, in Krasnodar they can be offered up to 30 thousand rubles, and in Moscow and St. Petersburg - more than 100 thousand rubles, — she explained.

Local demand and other factors, such as the standard of living in the region, affect payment more strongly than the national trend, the expert is sure.

The SuperJob service noted that an increase in wages does not mean that they abruptly began to pay much more for part-time work.

— The fact is that in order to be competitive in the labor market, employers even indicate full-time or high-workload salaries in part-time vacancies. Otherwise, their offers will end up at the bottom of the search results," they explained.

The income level of a part-time job still depends on how much time employees are willing to devote to it.
