The Ministry of Agriculture pointed to the stabilization of prices for chicken eggs

The price dynamics of the cost of chicken eggs is influenced by both volume growth and seasonal factors. The press service of the Ministry of Agriculture told Izvestia about this, noting that since the beginning of this year, Russia has seen an increase in the production of poultry products.

According to Rosstat, in January–August, 26.6 billion eggs were produced in agricultural enterprises, which is 6.4% higher than in the same period last year, the department recalled.

Key poultry farming enterprises are operating normally, there are no plans to reduce volumes. With an increase in production, manufacturers began to develop egg processing facilities, as well as increase the volume of products for export.

All this has led to a stabilization of prices in the market. As of October 1, eggs of the first category cost an average of 59.7 rubles per dozen from producers, 44.4 rubles for the second category for a similar number of pieces, the Ministry of Agriculture reported. Over the year, products fell in price by 19.4% and 26.9%, respectively.
