A new award for the best employer in the fuel and energy sector has been launched in Russia, designed to celebrate the achievements of companies in leading areas of the fuel and energy and industrial complexes of Russia in the field of attracting, developing and supporting personnel. 43 companies from the chemical, nuclear, and fuel and energy industries applied to participate in the pilot season of the award. The winners will be awarded as part of the Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. The Russian Energy Week is held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Energy of Russia and the Government of Moscow. The organizer is the Roscongress Foundation.

The award is organized by the Reliable Change Charitable Foundation with the support of the Organizing Committee of the Russian Energy Week International Forum. The REN Youth Day, where the results of the award will be announced, is part of the All-Russian Youth Action Plan aimed at popularizing the fuel and energy complex, energy conservation and engineering education for 2025 ("Fuel and Energy Complex for Youth").

"Approximately 2.6–2.7 million people work in the Russian energy sector. This number covers the entire fuel and energy complex, including the extraction, processing and production of electricity. In the era of technological transformation, the success of the Russian fuel and energy complex is determined not only by the power of natural resources, but also by human capital – we are building the future of the industry through investments in talent development, creating an ecosystem of professional growth and shaping corporate culture," said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, Executive Secretary of the REN–2025 Organizing Committee.

The award is aimed at strengthening the employer's brand, popularizing engineering professions and developing human resources in key sectors of the economy, said Artem Korolev, Director of the Reliable Change Foundation. "Our award is an effective platform for an open dialogue between employers, the government and educational institutions on youth work and training for energy and industry. We want to inspire companies to create programs in the field of personnel management and youth work. The best programs will be recognized and will become an impetus for the development of employers' talent pool and career paths of young people. The award participants will not only share experiences and best practices, but will also contribute to strengthening the prestige of engineering education and engineering professions among young people and the general public," he is confident.

43 companies of the fuel and energy and industrial complexes of Russia, actively working with young people, developing human resources and implementing innovative programs in the field of personnel management, were nominated to participate in the award.

The best employers will be selected in four categories. The "Career Start" nomination is designed to reward companies that implement comprehensive and effective career guidance and mentoring programs aimed at attracting talented professionals.

The cases and programs of the companies will be evaluated by a competent jury consisting of representatives of ministries, industry associations and youth organizations, as well as HR experts. The results of the award will be announced on October 17, 2025 in Moscow at the award ceremony for the winners of the Youth Day competitions of the International Forum "Russian Energy Week" with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.

Success in the award will contribute to strengthening the company's brand among young people, increasing loyalty among existing employees, strengthening their positions in the labor market, as well as developing youth work and personnel management programs.
