Private Polshkov destroyed three attack drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the help of electronic warfare

Guard Corporal Yuri Shadrin, as part of the crew of a T-90 tank, was carrying out the task of transporting assault groups to a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) when the enemy opened fire on the combat vehicle. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Russia in the area of a special military operation on Thursday, October 2.

The tank crew decided to release a smoke screen to prevent the enemy from aiming. Meanwhile, Shadrin opened fire on the Ukrainian Armed Forces from a tank cannon. A significant part of the enemy's manpower was destroyed, and the tank continued on its way, delivering the assault group to its destination.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the vigilance and timely actions of the guard of Private Nikolai Polshkov, who, as part of the electronic warfare unit (EW), resisted attacks by enemy drones.

With the help of an electronic countermeasures system, Polshkov noticed several attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the sky approaching Russian positions. He immediately informed the command about this and used electronic warfare to create interference and disrupt drone control. As a result, three enemy drones fell to the ground and detonated before reaching the target, and did not harm the Russian military.

Chemezov reported to Putin on the possibility of detecting inconspicuous targets and suppressing previously invulnerable drones.

Earlier, on October 1, the Ministry of Defense reported that Junior Sergeant Dmitry Kolesov commanded an assault group and was tasked with capturing an AFU stronghold when the group came under artillery fire from the enemy.

Prior to that, on September 30, the department said that Corporal Roman Fomin, who was performing tasks as part of the guard group, assisted a wounded comrade who was injured as a result of the impact of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
