Gelendzhik will open 18 beaches for winter swimming

Preparations for the winter bathing season have started in Gelendzhik. In the cold season, 18 specially equipped beaches will be available for citizens and tourists, said Alexey Bogodistov, the head of the resort, in his Telegram.

The authorities made this decision in response to numerous requests from fans of an active lifestyle and practitioners of winter swimming. The city administration strives to support initiatives that make sports more accessible and convenient.

Changing cabins have been preserved for a comfortable stay on the beaches, writes KrasnodarMedia news agency. Special attention was paid to the 2K25 beach, where a separate room was created for the walruses, where they could keep warm and put their equipment in storage.

Earlier it was reported that Krasnodar Airport opened on September 11 after a three-year hiatus. Experts predict that passenger traffic will reach several million people per year, and the growth of business activity and tourism will have a positive impact on the economy of the entire region.
