There should be no government funding stoppages, that is, the so-called "shutdowns" that often occur in the United States due to the inability to agree on a budget in Russia. This was announced on October 1 by Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, during a meeting of the party's program commission on the draft budget.

He recalled that on the eve of the American President Donald Trump announced another "shutdown" in his country.

"We don't announce any shutdowns. But remember, we had them in the relatively recent past, in the modern history of Russia," Medvedev said, referring to the political crises of the 1990s.
