Three people died in a head-on accident involving a heavy truck in the Tyumen region

In the Ishim district of the Tyumen region, an elderly couple and their 35-year-old daughter died as a result of an accident that occurred, previously, due to a sleeping driver. This is reported by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Wednesday morning, October 1, on the 318th km of the Tyumen–Omsk federal highway. According to preliminary data, the 64-year-old Chevrolet Cruze driver fell asleep at the wheel. The car went into oncoming traffic and crashed into a Scania truck.

The driver of the car, his 63-year-old wife and their 35-year-old daughter died on the spot from injuries sustained as a result of the collision. All the victims are residents of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the news agency " <url>" clarifies.
