Tricolor is launching a new B2O direction for the introduction of satellite communications for operators, including in remote regions. The pilot of the project was implemented in the village of Nes — residents of the Arctic region received mobile communications thanks to the cooperation of Tricolor and Beeline.

Tricolor is officially launching a new strategic direction, B2O (Business-to-Operator), a solution designed to help telecom operators deploy mobile communications where, for objective reasons, it is impossible or economically impractical to build a traditional infrastructure. The satellite communication channel provided by Tricolor allows you to transmit traffic in real time, providing a reliable connection. This was an important step in the implementation of the program for the digital inclusion of remote territories of Russia.

The pilot was a project in the village of Nes in the Zapolyarny District of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Thanks to the use of the Tricolor satellite communication channel, residents of the village located beyond the Arctic Circle received stable mobile communications and Internet access for the first time.

"Our project in Nesi demonstrates that modern satellite communication technologies are able to provide reliable coverage where traditional infrastructure is unavailable or unable to provide stable operation. Our mission is to make communication accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live," said Daniel Nirman, Head of Tricolor Internet.

"In the village of Nes, both voice communication in the 2G band and high-speed 4G Beeline mobile Internet are available. Our clients have gained access to various online services for work, study, entertainment, and government services. To provide reliable and high—quality communications to such remote and small settlements, we use various technologies and solutions, including satellite communication channels from our partners," commented Artem Ponkratov, Head of Beeline's network resource rental service.

The project was made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the Tricolor and Beeline technical teams, as well as the support of local authorities. Now residents of the village of Nes can use mobile communications for calls, messaging and Internet access.

Earlier, Tricolor reported that the Tricolor Internet service coverage area has expanded based on the Express-103 spacecraft and provides a powerful signal and stable communication in almost the entire territory of Russia, including the Arctic.
