The Kremlin pointed to Russia's provision of security at the nuclear power plant

Russia provides security at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), which is constantly under attack from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on October 1 at a briefing by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"It is under our control, and therefore the Russian side ensures security at this station. At the same time, it is also well known to everyone, and it is no secret to anyone, that the station and its surrounding infrastructure are constantly being attacked by the Kiev regime," he said.
