European countries cannot prove that the Boracay oil tanker detained in France is linked to Russia, as well as to incidents involving drones over Europe. This was announced to Izvestia on October 1 by political analyst Alexei Yaroshenko.

According to him, this tanker situation is being used to confirm the version of alleged Russian drones in European airspace.

In addition, the political scientist compared such actions of European countries with the actions of the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler, when he dressed soldiers in Polish uniforms and attacked his bases and military checkpoints.

"Today, they invented evidence with a tanker from among the allegedly Russian shadow fleet. But they can't even prove that the Russian shadow fleet actually exists and that this tanker has something to do with it. But drones have already been tied to it," he said.

Yaroshenko also predicted that Europe would repeatedly recall this topic for several years and tie Russia to actions that it did not commit.

On September 30, the French Navy detained the Benin-flagged oil tanker Boracay, which allegedly transported Russian oil in circumvention of sanctions. An investigation was launched into the vessel because the crew allegedly failed to provide evidence of the vessel's nationality and "failed to comply with orders."

According to American political analyst James Jatras, the detention of the Boracay oil tanker in France is an attempt by the authorities of this country to shift the attention of citizens from domestic problems to Russia. The expert noted that this is not only about France, but also about the UK. At the same time, he added, this will soon become relevant for Germany.
