The Russian Creative Week Forum-Festival has come to an end
The Russian Creative Week Forum-Festival— an event that has been defining the vector of development of creative industries for six years in a row, has come to an end. Its organizer, ANO Creative Economy, aims to broadcast bold ideas that come to life, and presents the professional community with a visionary view, relevant analytics and, in conjunction with the regions, shapes the future of the industry.
This year, the Forum was particularly important for the development of the creative, and hence the national economy. It took place after the entry into force of the law on creative industries and the statements of the country's top leadership on the support of the creative economy, so that the trends laid out on its platforms took into account the expansion of opportunities for government representatives, experts and the creative community.
The Russian Creative Week 2025 has set a new trend "From creative industries to a value-based economy" for several years to come. Innovations and new trends cannot be designed without relying on tradition. This year, the program of the Russian Creative Week covered two main historical megacities.
From September 25 to 27, the Forum was held in Moscow, where, together with the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, governors and experts, new tasks for creative industries and the transition to a value-based economy were designed. And from September 28 to September 29 in St. Petersburg, the participants, together with the city Government, designed a new role and function of the cultural capital with its rich heritage in the era of the creative economy.
Figures and facts: The Russian Creative Week hosted more than 5,000 people from 84 regions, 516 speakers from 7 countries participated in the discussion of key topics within the framework of the business program. The forum was held with the support of 16 partners, including industrial and regional ones.
Thematically, the Forum's program was divided into three tracks: "Value-based economy and its future until 2035", "Spatial development of the country" (architecture, urbanism, visual art, design, multimedia) and "Creative person as the basis of the economy of the future". Each block, in fact, defined the field of activity of the Russian Creative Week, in which it already plays a leading role and sets the vector.
The key sessions discussed the Russian way of developing the creative economy, which includes reliance on our spiritual and moral values, their deep connection with technology and territories. From the role of a raw materials giant, Russia is moving to the position of a visionary state capable of shaping meanings and solutions and using 16 creative industries (design, architecture and urbanism, gastronomy, film and video, and others) as a tool to achieve national goals.
A special event of the Forum-Festival was the EXPO exhibition organized within its framework. "The Forum has come a long way in six years. We were the first to broadcast hypotheses and initiatives in the field of creative economy development, which today have become the new norm and the state agenda. Today we are also setting a new trend — it is a value-based economy. Our Russian model is special. It implies a focus not only on megacities and clusters, but on a distributed development system in small towns and even villages, focusing not only on economic success, but also on social significance and values in creative products.
Work in Russia will be carried out at a fundamentally new level, taking into account more opportunities for all people of the country who create an intellectual and creative product that affects the capitalization of all sectors and the entire national economy of Russia," said Marina Mongush, President of ANO Creative Economy.
Within the framework of the Russian Creative Week, several important studies were conducted and presented, which helped to see new promising areas of work. Thus, the creative potential of Kingisepp and Shuya was studied, which made it possible to understand their identity. Another study related to the creation of family and children's content led to the development of appropriate recommendations. In the future, ANO Creative Economy will scale this approach in other creative industries.
