A youth concert was held in Donetsk on the Day of the reunification of Donbass with the Russian Federation

A concert was held in Donetsk, organized by the youth of the region, on the occasion of the Day of the Reunification of Donbass with Russia. Izvestia correspondent Yevgeny Bykovsky attended the event at the Donetsk City shopping center on September 30.

Invited artists and soloists of local bands performed on a specially equipped stage on the lower tier of the car park. Thus, the youth demonstrated their desire to live a full life despite the ongoing shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The main guest of the concert was Russian rap artist and beatmaker Rem Digga.

"This is a very important holiday for us. Because we are the region that defended the right to be part of the Russian Federation with blood. Since 2014, we have been striving for this right, we believed that we have always had the flags of the Russian Federation. We were an independent republic, but we always considered ourselves a part of Russia," said Denis Shimanovsky, Acting Minister of Youth Policy of the DPR.

He added that the concert was attended by young people who had dreamed of becoming part of Russia since childhood, and grew up to the accompaniment of explosions and gunfire.

Events dedicated to the Day of Reunification of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions with Russia were held on the same day in Russian houses of India and Palestine. The exhibition "Mariupol 2022-2025" was held in New Delhi. A video bridge with representatives of Donbass "Bridge of Truth Donbass - Argentina" was held at the Russian House of Buenos Aires.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has recorded an address on the occasion of the Day of Reunification of new regions with Russia. The Russian leader noted that their residents had made a firm and responsible choice. Together, Russians are now defending their fundamental national interests, common memory and values, the Russian language, traditions, culture and faith.
