Fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) In Kirovsk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), they changed into civilian clothes, trying to blend in with the local population. This was announced on September 30 by the platoon commander of the assault squad with the call sign Sickle.

"The personnel themselves (of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — Ed.) <...> are demoralized. A lot of people, already disguised as civilians, are trying to merge with the civilian population," he said.

The Russian serviceman noted that the Russian Army's attack aircraft are actively identifying such militants, as their presence creates obstacles to the further advance of the units.

During the liberation of the settlement, according to the Ministry of Defense, the Ukrainian Armed Forces suffered losses among both personnel and equipment and weapons. The ministry clarified that assault groups using motorized vehicles and small arms occupied enemy positions, cleared houses and structures, thereby completely liberating Kirovsk.

The liberation of Kirovsk in the DPR became known the day before. It was clarified that three brigades of Ukrainian militants were present in this area. According to the ministry, up to 19 battalions were involved in total.
