Crews of the M-46 guns of the North group destroyed military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Crews of the M–46 guns of the 44th Army Corps of the North group of forces destroyed camouflaged positions, military equipment and concentrations of manpower of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the area of a special military operation in the Sumy region. This was announced on September 30 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is specified that the calculations of the 130 mm towed howitzers of the group performed firing tasks to destroy manpower, armored vehicles, artillery and mortar crews, as well as fortified positions of the AFU units.

"Various targets were hit, mostly counter—battery warfare, of course, in the case of mortars, as well as the defeat of various groups of rotations and evacuations," said the battery commander with the call sign Gromila.

It is noted that the positions of the Ukrainian military were detected using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and an acoustic reconnaissance system. After targeting, the calculations inflicted one blow on each target.

During combat missions, artillery crews use high-explosive fragmentation munitions capable of easily hitting both manpower and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Now we are working with the artillery of the 30th regiment in the direction of Sumy region. From the guns M–46, also D–30, BM–21 Grad, mortars, two B-11," said the deputy commander of the division for military—political work (VPR) with the call sign Kairos.

The Defense Ministry stressed that this artillery onslaught made it possible to continue the successful advance of the assault units.

Unmanned platforms with electronic warfare systems are on duty in firing positions, suppressing enemy UAVs and saving the lives of gun crews.

Earlier, on August 29, the crews of the Su-25 attack aircraft destroyed the personnel and a stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of responsibility of the Vostok group of forces. After completing the task, the crews successfully performed an anti-missile maneuver using heat traps.
