Residents of Irkutsk region gave 4.6 million rubles to fraudsters
Over the past three days, 16 residents of the Irkutsk region have been affected by fraud. The total damage amounted to about 4.6 million rubles.
A 61-year-old Angarian woman was among the injured. She was contacted by a "sales specialist" who offered to earn income through investments. The victim transferred about 1.7 million rubles to outside accounts. This is reported by IA IrkutskMedia.
scammers called an 89-year-old resident of Irkutsk on behalf of employees of the polyclinic. They offered to retake the tests and asked for personal information. Then the pensioner received a call from "law enforcement officers" who convinced the victim to transfer her savings to an outside account. The woman lost 80 thousand rubles.
In Khabarovsk, a 32-year-old paramedic gave 2.2 million rubles to fraudsters.
