On September 29, Valery Golota, the head of the Rosgvardiya department for the region, was detained in the Republic of North Ossetia—Alania. This was reported on September 29 in the operational services.

"General Golota has been detained. Investigative actions are being carried out in a criminal case," the TASS news agency quoted the source as saying.

It is noted that the former head of the Rosgvardiya is charged under Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Receiving bribes committed on an especially large scale").
