Murmansk region spent 100 million rubles to prepare for winter
The Murmansk region has spent more than 100 million rubles to prepare for the upcoming winter. Over 84% of the funds were provided by the regional budget, the press service of the regional Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services reports.
The money was allocated for the renovation of boiler equipment, communications, as well as the creation of an emergency group to eliminate emergency situations. Now 418 brigades and 1,8 thousand pieces of equipment are ready for communal accidents, Bi-port news agency writes.
In addition, double coal reserves have been formed in the region and 144% of the fuel oil reserves have been harvested. During the purchase of the latter, support from the federal authorities was used. The Russian government has allocated 3.75 billion rubles for these purposes.
By now, all resource supply and management organizations are ready for winter. Heating has been turned on in residential buildings, but it may take at least five days to adjust the equipment, so in some cases the battery life may increase.
Earlier in September, Izvestia reported that Russian scientists had developed a diamond nanofluid that converts solar energy into heat. The development will improve and reduce the cost of environmentally friendly heating systems.
