The amount of maternity capital in Russia in 2026 will be indexed by 6.8%, the payment for the second child will amount to 974.1 thousand rubles if the family did not receive it for the firstborn. This was reported to journalists on September 29 in the press service of the Ministry of Labor.

"The maternity capital will increase to 974.1 thousand rubles for the second child, if the family does not have maternity capital for the first child, to 737.2 thousand rubles for the first child, the lump—sum allowance at the birth of the child will grow to 28,773 rubles," the message says.
