The new Avatr 12 fastback will enter the Russian market

The Chinese brand Avatr has announced a new model for Russia, which will be the second in the brand's line. This is the Avatr 12 electric fastback, a pre-order for the new product from dealers has already been opened, the company said in a statement received by Izvestia on September 29. Specifications and prices will be revealed in October.

The length of the Avatr 12 is 5020 mm with a wheelbase of 3020 mm. The model has a sweeping silhouette with a panoramic glass roof that seamlessly merges into the rear glazing. The interior is designed in a minimalist style and decorated with natural materials. The electric car is equipped with an air suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers.

The car will be available in seven colors, including matte purple. There are three design options available in the interior — light, dark and combined with bright accents. Four trim levels have been announced, which will include a sporty exterior package, cameras instead of side mirrors, and different wheel design options.

Changan announced the launch of the Avatr luxury brand of electric vehicles in Russia in November last year. The brand was created in partnership with the Chinese IT giant Huawei. Sales of the Avatr 11 electric crossover started in Russia at the end of January. It is presented in Russia in three versions, which differ in the power plant and interior layout.

Earlier, on September 26, it was reported that the Russian Atom electric car had passed certification and received Vehicle Type Approval (OTT), which allows mass production and sales of the model to begin in Russia. The certificate includes two versions — the basic version and the taxi version, which is characterized by the absence of a front passenger seat.
