Glushakov announced the date of the farewell match
Denis Glushakov, a former football player of the Russian national team and the Moscow Spartak and Lokomotiv teams, announced the date of the farewell match. He announced this on September 28 in his Telegram channel.
The game will be played at the Khimki Arena near Moscow on October 11.
"Two legendary teams will come together — Spartak and Lokomotiv. I will play a half for one team and a half for the other," Glushakov announced.
The footballer also thanked all the fans for the emotions they had given him over 20 years of his career.
As a member of the Russian national team, in which he was from 2011 to 2017, the footballer played 57 matches. Glushakov played for Spartak Moscow from 2013 to 2019. In the 2016/17 season, he became the winner of the Russian Premier League (RPL), reports Sport-Express.
After leaving Spartak, the footballer signed a contract with Akhmat Grozny, and in July 2020 he moved to Khimki near Moscow.
On February 26, Glushakov joined the Armenian Urartu. It was not specified for how long the agreement with the 37-year-old midfielder was signed. Urartu ranks fourth in the Armenian Championship standings.
