Durov spoke about France's request to help Moldova in censoring Telegram channels

Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, said on Sunday, September 28, that about a year ago, the French special services contacted him and asked him to help the Moldovan authorities censor some of the platform's channels.

"About a year ago, when I was stuck in Paris, the French special services contacted me through an intermediary with a request to help the Moldovan government censor certain channels on Telegram before the presidential elections in Moldova," Durov wrote on his Telegram channel.
