Oleg Basilashvili, People's Artist of the USSR, ironically commented on the initiatives of parliamentarians to limit the screenings of films directed by Alexei Balabanov. He announced this on September 28 in an interview. kp.ru .

The actor, answering a question about the proposal to ban Balabanov's films, jokingly suggested banning the novel by writer Leo Tolstoy "War and Peace", because in it "there is a mate, it talks about female and male infidelity."
