Moscow closed the motorcycle season with a large-scale festival

Despite the rain and cool weather, the 13th Moscow Motorcycle Festival was held in the center of the capital. This was announced on September 27 by the correspondent of Izvestia Maxim Prikhod.

The Moscow Motorcycle Festival is getting bigger every year. So, this year a record number of participants joined the event — about 20 thousand motorcyclists.

"We started out much more modestly, the columns were smaller. I think we have a record number of 20,000 motorcycles right now," said Dmitry Khitrov, adviser to the head of the Moscow Department of Transport for motorcycle surveys and organizer of the festival.

According to official data, the number of motorcycle accidents in Moscow by the end of 2025 decreased by 14%, despite an increase in the number of motorcyclists registered in the capital — there are about 110 thousand of them.

The motorcycle festival attracted people of all ages.

"I've been driving for 20 years, and this year I decided to switch to a motorcycle. After forty, you can always get on a motorcycle for the first time," said one of the participants, Sergey.

At the same time, safety remains a priority within the framework of the event. According to Alexey Naumov, the winner of the Silk Road Rally, it is important to be attentive and careful and enjoy the process.

The start and finish point of the motorcycle festival is the observation deck at Moscow State University, where Moscow bikers have been gathering for several decades. It is allowed to arrange races there, evaluate spectacular stunts and even see an exhibition of motorcycle equipment dating back to the last century.

It is proposed to strengthen the responsibility for parents who allow children to drive vehicles.

Earlier, on August 20, it was reported that the State Duma had developed a bill proposing to allow drivers of motorcycles, mopeds and vehicles carrying people with disabilities and children with disabilities to move along designated lanes for public transport. It provides for amendments to art. 12.17 of the Administrative Code of the PF.
