Europe will not be able to abandon its support for Ukraine without the United States, because it does not have sufficient subjectivity. This was stated by political scientist Alexander Asafov on Friday, September 26.
"If a consensus decision is made to continue the assistance, this assistance will continue, despite any painful consequences for Europe. Of course, countries can express their position, but it is unlikely that this will affect the real state of affairs," he said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
According to the political scientist, without sufficient subjectivity, the European Union (EU) is forced to accept the US position on any issues, be it the economy, duties or assistance to Kiev. At the same time, he allowed attempts to draw Washington deeper into the conflict.
"Limitation, reduction of support is possible, but only if an appropriate general decision is made. There is no such thing yet," Asafov concluded.
