His bust of Peter the Great is mounted on the cruiser Peter the Great, and his embossed panel is part of the monument to the heroic defenders of Leningrad on Victory Square. Bakuradze's "Lermontov" is said to have been a creative response to Nikolai Burlyaev, who shot the film of the same name in 1986.
