- Over the past eight years, the capital's exporters, with the support of the IEC, have signed contracts worth 137 billion rubles.
Since September 2017, the capital's entrepreneurs, with the support of the Moscow Export Center, have signed about 3.8 thousand contracts worth more than 137 billion rubles. This was announced by Deputy Mayor Natalia Sergunina.
Among the most popular areas of foreign economic activity are China, Belarus, Serbia, Turkey, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates.
"More than 20 thousand companies from various fields, from information technology to creative industries and food production, have used the tools offered by the Moscow Export Center," Sergunina said.
In just eight years, over 97,000 people have applied to the IEC for various services. Businesses are particularly interested in participating in major international industry exhibitions, fairs, and business missions, including reverse ones (when representatives of foreign companies are invited to Moscow). The IEC covers the costs of renting and building a meeting area, delivering exhibits, and organizing business meetings.
Over the past eight years, 4.7 thousand entrepreneurs have presented their products and services at such events. They held presentations for potential partners from dozens of countries, from Vietnam to Mexico, and signed contracts worth 14.3 billion rubles.
Another popular tool is support in the placement of goods on international online trading platforms. Almost 2 thousand companies used it. The volume of supported exports in this segment exceeded 28 billion rubles.
In addition, companies in the capital have access, for example, to export grants. Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses selling their products in friendly countries can receive from 10 to 20% of the value of a foreign trade agreement. The maximum amount is 10 million rubles per year (or 50% of taxes paid to the city budget). Since the launch of the program in 2022, more than 700 grants worth about 2 billion rubles have been awarded.
