The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has announced a selection for the right to receive subsidies to compensate for part of the cost of purchasing direct current electric charging stations (EPPS) from 149 kW, as well as for their technological connection to the electric grid. This was announced on September 26 by the press service of the department.

The maximum amount of the subsidy will be 60% of the cost of EHS and technical connections. Depending on the power of the station (149-400 kW) It will amount from 1.86 million to 4.37 million rubles. The amount of the subsidy for technological connection varies from 900 thousand to 2.11 million rubles for a stand-alone gas station and from 1.87 to 2.11 million rubles for a group of stations.

The list of conditions states that the placement of the EHS should ensure that at least two electric vehicles can be parked no further than 4 m from the charging station. The recipient of the subsidies ensures the operation of the charging infrastructure facility for at least 5 years from commissioning. At the same time, the recipient must provide a certain level of service and technical accessibility.

The subsidy is provided within the framework of the federal project "Production of innovative transport", which is part of the national project "Industrial support of transport mobility". Legal entities that create an electric charging infrastructure for electric vehicles can participate in the selection. Applications are accepted from September 26 to October 24, 2025 through GIS.

Earlier, on September 12, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that as part of the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles, the Moscow City Hall decided to conclude long-term contracts for the installation and maintenance of charging stations.

On August 20, it became known that as of the beginning of July, there were 65.2 thousand electric vehicles in Russia. Since the beginning of the year, the increase in the number of electric cars has amounted to 5.6 thousand units (+9.4%), of which 4.4 thousand cars were sold as new, the rest were used. The most common electric car model in the country is the Nissan Leaf (17.3 thousand units).
