Russian tourist Linaria Muzipova died as a result of being hit by a speedboat in the Kemer area of Antalya. This was reported on September 26 by the Turkish newspaper Yeni Akit.

"Upon examination by medical staff, it was established that Linaria Muzipova had died. Muzipova's body was taken to the morgue of the Antalya Institute of Forensic Medicine," the article says.

It is reported that the captain of the boat and the owner of the parasailing company were detained.

The brother of the deceased, Rishat Islyaev, received a death notice from the travel company. He told Izvestia that the incident occurred on the first day of Muzipova's vacation.

Islyaev is currently awaiting a decision on the transportation of the body to Russia, and is planning a funeral.

"The Telestrach company is involved in this case [transporting Muzipova's body]. All the necessary documents were sent yesterday, and we are waiting for feedback," he said.

Earlier, on August 25, it became known that Russian swimmer Nikolai Svechnikov went missing while swimming through the Bosphorus Strait. It was reported that the Coast Guard was searching for the swimmer.

The former head coach of the Russian national open water swimming team, Honored Master of Sports Alexei Akatiev, expressed the opinion that Svechnikov could have collided with other athletes during the swim and received a blow.

Later that day, Istanbul authorities launched an investigation into the causes and circumstances of the swimmer's disappearance. According to the results of the control checks at the end of the competition, it was established that Svechnikov did not reach the finish line.
