Retaining walls in the park destroyed by the flood are being repaired in Yalta.
A retaining wall in the Primorsky Park, which was damaged during the flood in 2021, is being restored in Yalta. 130 m of the planned 250 m structures have been built, the mayor of the city, Yanina Pavlenko, said on her social networks.
"The active stage of repair work was preceded by serious preparations – a full inspection of the wall and identification of emergency areas were carried out," the official said.
The builders completed the laying of the butte and removed the Krymenergo cable running along the riverbed behind the wall. Now workers are restoring the hydraulic bottom, along which the river will be launched. This will prevent flooding and destruction of the walls.
The repair is funded from the reserve fund of the Crimea, writes IA SevastopolMedia. The cost of the contract, together with the development of project documentation, is 221 million rubles. The project is 25% completed, and the work is expected to be completed by the end of December.
Earlier it was reported that the active landscaping of the City Garden square continues in Yalta. At the same time, several changes were made to the reconstruction project of the park. For example, to lay a drip irrigation system and install a public toilet in the recreation area.
