- Fined for a comment on the Network, Rogozin talked about plans to take care of children
Evgenia Rogozin, a resident of Udmurtia (listed as an extremist and terrorist by Rosfinmonitoring), who was accused of publicly calling for terrorist activities for leaving a comment online, returned to Mozhga and reunited with her family. In a conversation with Izvestia on September 25, she said that she plans to take care of children and return to her favorite job.
"Tonight we will buy a cake, we will sit at home in a family circle. <...> In the future, I will take care of my children, the work that I missed very much, and I will lead my life the same way as I did before. Everything will be fine," she shared.
Rogozin thanked everyone who was not indifferent to her cause and supported her during the months of her imprisonment. She admitted that the thoughts of children, the support of relatives and the hope of liberation gave her vitality, despite the difficulties.
"For me, these months have been very long, longing, longing. I lived every day with only thoughts of my family. Thank God that everything ended like this, that I came to my native land, came home," the woman said.
Children, mother, father, brother and husband greeted Rogozin with flowers. For them, the time she spent in jail was also a great challenge.
"I remember every letter I wrote to her even now, we can dictate it. They supported her morally, they went to court. You can't wish on anyone what we've been through," said the woman's brother, Evgeny.
"We are very happy people today, we will only have tears of happiness today," her mother confessed.
In November 2024, Rogozin commented on a post in which the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Oksana Lut, explained the record increase in butter prices by increasing the income level of Russians, with the words "burn the witch." In February of this year, a resident of Udmurtia was charged under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for terrorist activities using the Internet").
On September 8, it became known that Rogozin had sent a letter to Lut asking her to forgive her. On August 25, she explained her comment with indignation at the increase in food prices.
Evgenia Rogozina's husband told Izvestia on September 23 that the court had fined the woman 310 thousand rubles in the case of a public call to extremist activity. In her last statement, the defendant stated that there was no criminal intent and promised to refrain from public comments on the Internet in the future.
