Serial deliveries of Ansat helicopters with the Russian VK-650 engine will begin in 2027. This was announced on September 25 by Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, in an interview with Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"We will finish it next year. Serial deliveries are the 27th year," Alikhanov said.

He also noted the importance of passing all necessary tests and obtaining a certificate. The minister added that the issue of remotorization of Ansats from previous years of production, which have foreign-made engines, is currently being worked out.

"Now there are a little less than 150 of them used in the civilian sector. <...> Well, now we are thinking about how to refine and re—motorize them, install our fully import-substituted engines," Alikhanov stressed.

Earlier, on September 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the process of import substitution of engines on Sukhoi Superjet aircraft and Ansat helicopters had been completed. The President noted that the positive dynamics in the industry creates conditions for strengthening the country's industrial and technological sovereignty, developing transport, energy, as well as overall economic growth and achieving Russia's national goals.
