Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis discussed the oppressive situation regarding the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) at a meeting during the UN General Assembly. This was announced on September 25 by the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"During the discussion of the issues <...>, Russian principled assessments of the causes of the depressing state of affairs in the OSCE were outlined in detail," the Telegram channel said.

Russia has presented its key views on the causes of the current crisis to the OSCE. Topical international issues, including the Ukrainian conflict, were also touched upon.

The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that Switzerland has lost its status as a reliable neutral mediator, and its unfriendly policy towards Russia will be taken into account when forming bilateral relations.

Earlier, Lavrov held a meeting with Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric during the UN General Assembly, where he focused on the situation around Kosovo, stressing that Russia fully supports Serbia's territorial integrity and sovereignty. It was clarified that despite the crisis in international relations, contacts between the parties remain active and intense.
