The Hainan Airlines Airbus A 330 aircraft, which collided with another aircraft on the tarmac at Sheremetyevo Airport, was temporarily suspended from flights. This was announced on September 25 by the airport's press service.
"After conducting a technical inspection of the Hainan Airlines Airbus A 330 aircraft, it was decided to suspend the aircraft from flights," the airport's Telegram channel said.
Sheremetyevo Airport provided all necessary assistance to 264 passengers, including disembarkation and maintenance at the terminal, as well as hotel accommodation until the arrival of the backup aircraft. The flight will be scheduled after the preparation of the backup board.
A source from Izvestia reported on September 24 that an Airbus A330 aircraft operated by Hainan Airlines crashed into a Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft operated by Rossiya Airlines on the tarmac at Sheremetyevo Airport, which was supposed to depart for St. Petersburg. According to him, no one was injured as a result of the incident. The Airbus A330 crashed with its wing into the tail of another aircraft.
On September 25, the press service of the North-Western Transport Prosecutor's Office announced the organization of an inspection on the fact of aircraft contact.
