Starting from January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in Russia will increase by more than 20% and amount to 27093 rubles. This was announced on September 24 by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"Amendments to the current legislation have been prepared, which relate to an increase in the minimum wage. Starting from January 1 next year, it will grow by more than 20% and amount to 27093 rubles," Mishustin informed at a government meeting.
He noted that the measure would help raise salaries for 4.5 million Russians.
Prior to that, on September 1, the leader of the Fair Russia — For Truth faction, Sergei Mironov, said that the minimum wage needed to be increased to 60 thousand rubles. The MP also shared that the party plans to conduct a study aimed at identifying the size of the consumer basket and the cost of living.
