The State Duma noted Russia's desire for technological leadership in the world

Currently, Russia is developing in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in order to become a technological leader in the world. This was announced on September 24 by State Duma deputy from the New People party Alexey Nechaev at the award ceremony in the field of AI development.

According to him, thanks to the Neuro Lab company, about 100 thousand people have already been able to learn how to work with artificial intelligence. He also noted that more than a thousand small and medium-sized businesses have already started solving various tasks using AI.

"It is important that there are responsible companies that care about what happened in Russia. And so I believe that these companies of technological leadership, together with us, are not just building technological sovereignty and independence. It is not enough to be independent in the world today. It's important to be technological leaders, but also conceptual leaders. And today Russia is moving in this direction," Nechaev said.

On September 5, it was reported that last summer (June – August 2025), Russian companies became 66% more likely to indicate the requirement "knows how to work with artificial intelligence" in vacancies. It was noted that applicants with knowledge of neural networks receive salaries on average 18% higher than a year ago. Most of these vacancies are placed in the financial industry, as well as in the fields of marketing, advertising and PR, and technology companies.
