In the context of current economic challenges, the Russian government is preparing new measures to whitewash the economy. The fight against shadow employment and low salaries remains one of the priorities. This was announced on September 24 by the head of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Reshetnikov.

"From the point of view of whitewashing the economy, the tasks here are constant. In the current conditions, they are much more acute, and additional measures are being prepared in this regard," he said at a plenary meeting in the Federation Council.

According to the minister, additional measures will be aimed, among other things, at improving customs administration in order to eliminate underestimation of customs value, as well as at combating the substitution of labor relations with civil law contracts.

Reshetnikov also noted the importance of implementing the law on the platform economy, which will help monitor compliance with the rules on marketplaces. He stressed that this should allow platforms to independently monitor compliance with legislation, including checking customs declarations and markings, without relying on physical checks.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced the stability of the Russian economy despite the sanctions. At the same time, she retains her social orientation. According to Peskov, the state fulfills and plans to fulfill its social obligations to the population for years to come.
