German politician has applied for Russian citizenship
The head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, Ralf Niemeyer, announced on September 24 that he had applied for Russian citizenship, explaining this as a feeling of "home" in Russia and possible problems with the law in Germany.
"I definitely feel at home in Russia, I don't live anywhere else. I have spent more time in Russia than anywhere else in the last three years," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
