- The Federation Council linked the attempts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack Moscow with Zelensky's speech at the UN
The attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to attack Moscow with drones on the eve of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's speech at the UN General Assembly, as well as a meeting with US President Donald Trump, is an example of Kiev's criminal cynicism. This was stated by Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin on Tuesday, September 23.
According to him, all this underlines the hopelessness of the current Kiev regime, which is trying to prove to the outside world that it is capable.
"In fact, these are signs of cowardice, fear and meanness. This is how we should approach this, and I think this is how our European and other colleagues will think. Because it cannot be perceived otherwise," the senator said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
Since the evening of September 22, more than 46 Ukrainian drones have been shot down on approach to Moscow, Moscow 24 writes.
On September 23, the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, announced that air defense systems had shot down five more drones (UAVs) flying towards Moscow, the Moscow City News agency reports.
Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site of the drones, writes RIAMO.
On the same day, Sobyanin announced the elimination of two drones, and two more were shot down later. Before that, air defense systems hit three more UAVs.
On the eve of the evening, amid reports of drones, restrictions were imposed on aircraft flights at Sheremetyevo Airport. The ban was lifted after midnight, according to 360.ru .
