Deputy Ogloblina pointed to the predominance of natural dairy products in stores

Natural dairy products without milk fat substitutes prevail on the shelves of Russian stores. This was announced on September 23 at the Food Quality and Safety conference by State Duma deputy Yulia Ogloblina.

"Basically, natural dairy products prevail in our country, without milk fat substitutes. If there are products with substitutes, there are no more than 10 items, the problem is that they are on a separate shelf, but it is very difficult for consumers to see and figure out what is really natural and what is not," the deputy said.

She stressed that in Russia, the law does not prohibit the use of milk fat substitutes, but it must be indicated on the packaging, and such products should be on a separate shelf in the store. In addition, the MP called for stricter legislation for the falsification of dairy products.

"The proposal is as follows: to increase the amount of fines tenfold, so that it would be from 1 million to 3 million rubles," she added.
