- The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has condemned the "illegal" visit of three African ambassadors to Crimea.
On September 22, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the visit of the Ambassadors of Burkina Faso Aristide Tapsobi, the Republic of Mali Seydou Kamissoka and the Republic of Niger Issa Abdou Sidique to the territory of the Republic of Crimea, calling it an alleged "gross violation" of international rights.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the illegal "visit" of <...> ambassadors <...>, which took place from September 18 to 20. African diplomats have grossly violated international law, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine," reads a statement posted on the department's Telegram channel.
The Ministry stressed that this trip would be regarded by Kiev not only as a violation committed by individuals, but also as an allegedly illegal act of the states they represent.
On July 8, the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sibiga, announced that a new unit for working with unfriendly countries would appear in the structure of his department. According to him, representatives of this department will be under the control of First Deputy Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
