The first air quality monitoring post appeared in Ugra

The first post of the territorial environmental monitoring system appeared in Ugra. The technical complex was located in Urai, the press service of the regional environmental supervision reported on Monday, September 22.

The device measures the concentration of eight types of pollutants, as well as suspended particles of dust and soot, every 20 minutes. This allows you to get the most accurate and up-to-date air quality data in real time.

The post will operate in a test mode until the end of 2025. This is necessary to verify the correct functioning of the system. From January 1, 2026, the measurement results will be available to citizens and supervisors.

It is expected that by 2030, five more similar posts will be opened in cities with a population of less than 50 thousand people. These are two complexes in Nyagan and one each in Yugorsk, Pyt-Yakh and Langepas.
